BRINGING A NEW DESIGN NARRATIVE TO TRADITIONAL NAGA TEXTILES

 Inspired from the pre- existing Naga textile motifs which is stylised new ways.It is based on the same warp concept in which one warp gives three or four samples on the loin loom. Each design is unique from the other. It is explored by playing with the layout, placements of motifs, and textures and taking advantage of the warp in different ways. Using multiple wefts in one go, creating a look like a patchwork keeping in mind the weaving difficulty when it’s in production.
